It's still pretty early in the season to expect much as most folks won't go in that chilly water just yet, but hoping for something missed last season.
Put on my wetsuit and headed out. Not many targets, but actually more than I expected.
Found:
a Porsche Hot Wheels
a bead bracelet
a Utah Field House of Natural History souvenir
a couple of fishing weights
a brass tag with numbers
two rings, one silver one junk
a handful of clad
and an old button

I don't find enough old buttons to justify buying books, so if anybody can help I.D. this I would really appreciate it. It had a big glob of iron something stuck to it and I spent about an hour picking away at it already. Can't quite make out the back mark other than "mfg co." It measures 24mm in diameter (0.945 inch).

Hopefully the swimmers will be forth coming to deposit their jewelry in the lake! :laughing7:

you did good :)

Great finds. That button looks like a civil war era US Marine Corps button, but I am not an expert by any means. Hopefully someone with knowledge and resources will chime in. Congrats!

I like that tree of life ring! :icon_thumleft:

That's what I was wondering about. I found 2 on FleaBay that look identical and they were listed as CW era. But, I don't put much faith in FleaBay descriptions. :dontknow:

Nice finds. 👍 I remember taking a boat cruise on Lake Tahoe a few years ago for my wife’s 60th birthday. We went over a large shallow rock out in the lake between Facebooks Mark Suckaturds house and the house where they filmed The Godfather. I remember thinking, “I bet there are a lot of coins that people have tossed onto the rock over the years”. Do you scuba out that far?

I don't scuba at all, just snorkle and wade. There are some spots I know that would be good for sure, thought about getting a hookah and taking a class.
I have hunted the water on the dipsh!ts beach and got a gold and silver ring though!
