Early morning street tear up ... another 911 call...

Headed out to a house that I got permission to do. On the way there I came upon a street tear up.
( Never made it to the house so I guess that will have to wait to next weekend )
Got there about 6:45 am and after about 45 minutes a guy comes out of his house.
Ahole:What are you doing?
Me: I'm metal detecting?
AH: For what, you can't do that on private property.
Me: I'm looking for metal objects and this is city property and I'm not breaking any laws.
AH: I don't want you digging on my property.
Me: How old are you?
AH: 35
Me: 35? Lets be realistic here. Look at where I'm digging. What are you some 85 year old women cause that's the type of people
who complain.
AH Well I don't want you digging on my property.
Me: It's not your property it's the city's.
AH Wife comes out.. I'm calling the police...
Me: Go ahead I'm not breaking any laws metal detecting in a construction area on city property. But I'll respect you and go on to the next section.
Police show up. Asked me if someone said something and I told him the 35 year old guy in that house. ( He laughed several times )
Police: I was going to get one of those. Tell me about it. 1/2 hour later after a bunch of BSing about the hobby he said. I gotta go so good luck.... Back to detecting.... ( of course right across the street from the guys house and I stayed in that area for a good 20 minutes LOL )

I did manage to pull out 1 1964 rosie
1907 IH
9 Wheats
$3.43 change and a bunch of junk
Here's the pic of the guys front parkway area that he didn't want me digging in. His front yard looks like he just had a main sewer line dug up too. What a joke...

Well I gotta give you a new punch on the MD Mancard Bob, way to handle it! Very similar to the Mayo/'batts 911 cladventure. LEO's were all good with us, uptight Gladys got her due watching no resolution to her satisfaction take place. We only left because we know we'll be back there when we can dig deeper holes, in softer ground.
