Hit a field this morning, started very slow with clad and bottle caps. Kept at it and finally saw some silver. 1927 standing liberty. Got a very strange signal a bit latter, bouncing in the 50's and low 90's. Decided to dig and glad I did. First thing in the hole was a piece of costume jewelry and after removing it got a great 97 signal. Pulled out a bit more dirt and there she lay. A 1923 peace dollar.

Damn that Peace dollar is cool. Persistence once again pays off. Congrats.

Congratulations on joining the "Silver Dollar Club" ! My one silver dollar find (so far ) was also a 1923 Peace .

A big silver coin coming out of the ground is a beautiful site, it rates right around there for me as a gilted button. yes , I love finding buttons.

Congrat's on some Very Nice finds, Bill

big silver is still on my bucket list, Maryland has not blessed me with one Yet!!
congrats

97 on the AT Pro huh? Good to know for when I never find one! lol!

oh yeah! capitol sweet!

SO THAT IS WHAT A SILVER DOLLAR LOOKS LIKE!!! All the ones I've found are made of crushed aluminum. It's great to actually see one so I'll recognize it IF I ever find one. Congratulations on a very tough find.

That is one great field there, need to find one like that still out here !!!

Nice contrast on that Peace Dollar. Last time that saw the light of day it could have bought an entire dinner at a very fancy restaurant. Try making your dollar go that far these days.

Great dollar find! Big majority of us will never find a Peace dollar let alone any Silver dollar. Congrats.
