Early Military Button???

I dug this today, I'm seeing a line which looks like the base of the cannon on some early artillery buttons. What do you think?

Try cleaning a little better and see if you can get the rust off the front. What does the back look like.

Shank is gone on back, no mold seam,


Update: After more cleaning I think I'm seeing more design...
