Cool find whats it made of looks like brass. To me it looks just like a pewter ring broach which are about that size with something wrapped on it. But yours look brass, I dont know if its a buckle but is cool. And a nice find

nice find. :icon_thumleft:

unsure what it could be

i also hunt in northern michigan and have found a silver broach, farming tools, mini-balls from the war of the french, gun parts, indian camp fire tools, possibly a tree tap for syrup?, and many other cool things

good luck hunting!

Very cool and unique... sure looks to be from the 1700s... not sure of the purpose but it might just be an improvised dangler or brooch.
