Hi all. Just had to share this one. Was on my way to a job site when I passed a park that I had been eyeing for a while now. Of course the MD is a constant backseat companion at this point so decided I had time for a quick sweep of the play area. Hit a secluded corner of the sand pit first and got a strange signal that turned out to be the Bling glasses at about 3 inches. Upon rechecking the hole I got a signal that was strange to me so decided to dig it. Pulled the plastic egg out from about 9 inches. Were the glasses an omen? Had I truley found the infamous "Bling Bling Egg"? Not this time. Only a year old chocolate. Gonna hit a middle school today. Seems like alot of you are getting the real bling at that level. I'll post finds this evening. HH everybody!~CO2

Now you Gotta taste The Chocolate. See if it's good yet ;D

I have found alot of eggs in the parks in my area. Due to the thousands of hours spent hunting these areas.

Guess they didnt find them all. Would be interested to know how long they have been there. And no I dont eat the candy

How in the world could the egg be 9 inches down. :- No wonder the kids didn't find that one.

That's a good question Haupin.? The sand pit at this park has a concrete curb all the way around it.? Only thing I can think is that the sand wasn't banked up in that corner when it got buried.? Either that or a kid reburied it later in the day, after the hunt.? Wish I lived somewhere where the folks buried Susan B's in plastic eggs! ;D CO2

I have noticed that in my area they rake through the sand. Not sure why they do this, I assume to keep it all even. It culd possibly have made it go deeper

Could that be because they're looking for "little easter eggs" left by the neighborhood cats? :D

When I was a kid on the west coast, there used to be TH'ers that drug these big basket strainers around on the sand. They'd help keep the beaches clean along with county tractors that did the same thing on a huge scale. Evidently in Colorado they don't worry about hazards or Cat Sh*t! I can't believe some of the stuff I've pulled out of the sand boxes at several parks now. Twist caps with half the bottle attached, 12d nails, broken glass, razor blades & barbed wire to name a few. I just know I'll never let my son go bare footed in the parks! What kind of sick SOB puts that stuff there? >:( CO2

Yeah baby! Chocolate love from under the sun and sand.
