I'm not sure what I have here, but it looks like an early bracelet. The individual links look hand painted, as each one is slightly different. Would appreciate any input, especially about age. The area was first settled by wealthy Quakers in the early 1700s and this site has been occupied ever since then. A 1930s era home was built about 75 yards away to replace the original log building. I've periodically hunted this site for about ten years and the remaining signals are getting very few and faint. Stay safe everyone!

The coins were not found at this site, they were added for scale only.

Very interesting piece, congrats! :icon_thumleft:

I'm also on board for early 20th century. Nice find!

Smokey and Red Coat nailed it. It's called millifiore (1000 flowers).
Cool find.

Strictly speaking this is not classic "millefiori". The starting material is the same (sections of multicoloured drawn glass rods called "murrina" and also know as mosaic glass) but they have not been fused into a surrounding glass matrix by reheating. They've been cheaply cold-assembled mosaic fashion into a soft matrix of jewellery cement or something similar. You can see that it has disintegrated in places, leaving only the glass.

Another example of why this site is amazing. I swear, someone here can identify nearly anything! Nice find Terpfan, and amazing ID information Red-Coat! And anyone taking the time to look at these threads can learn so much about what the dirt gives up in our hobby!

I would guess it's Italian costume jewellery in glass mosaic flower work and from the earlier part of the 20th Century. Here's a similar one dating to the 1920s

View attachment 1817249You absolutely nailed it Red coat. The designs are nearly identical. Interestingly, I found a total of six beads-- and even that number matches the quantity in your photo. I can't thank you and the other contributors enough for sharing your expertise.
