Until someone pipes in - I searched Google and found a number of references - haven't a clue if it relates to your find!

1st Find - inv. & acc.referenced in a Maryland Historical Magazine...
TOPIC: Case Study in Probate Manipulation

ENTRY: Prerogative Court (Inv. & Acc'ts) 4, fol. 358. [MSA S 536-5]
ENTRY: 1 bottle of brandy when we went to St. Maries [probably to exhibit the inventory]."
Prerogative Court (Inv. & Acc'ts) 2, fol. 224-243.

2nd Find - Based on a translator - appears to be German document about taxing the rich?

ADJUNCT INSPECTEURS DER DIR. BEL., INV. & ACC.

Again - may have absolutely nothing to do with your find.

I looked at this one for a while yesterday and didn't really get far.

I'm guessing "INV. & ACC.' is short for INVENTORY & ACCOUNTING. Not a company name...

The heraldic logo is interesting. Not very 'American' looking to my eye.

If it is aluminum, I don't think it's very old. If it is brass it could be as old as the 1930's or 40's.

When I first saw it I thought it was a carburetor rebuild tag. :-\
