Early American connection, to cuff link, maybe

I'm at work right now Rob, so I can't dedicate my full attention. I must say the second I laid my eyes on that link I thought it appeared early American. It closely resembles many patriotic eagles from the post rev war period.

Now I know the early United States lacked the artisans necessary to make certain items. For example, many of GW's inaugural buttons were made in England, but...perhaps, and it's a stretch, that the reason your link lacks hallmarks is because it's American made. Have you looked into the initials?

Hello Scrappy, I've not looked in to the makers mark yet. Robert.

Very interesting read Rob. Thanks for the heads up. These links will likely be one of those finds that likely has an amazing connection but can never be definitively linked to said person. These finds always leave us wishing we knew more about who, how and when. I think that's part of this hobby that I enjoy so much. The finds can just be the start of the journey. These links are incredible and I truly hope you are able to somehow gather more info about who may have owned these. Congrats again Rob. You have made some incredible and unique recoveries.
Oh yeah....thanks for the dirty pics. I LOVE THOSE 8-)
