Found these yesterday hunting with Pikespeakcharlie, a lot of fun and always learn something. The button is more of something with a bent bar coming out of the back like it would stick into leather. We thought the one rectangle piece might be a match holder or buckle but can't figure it out. The item with holes I find a lot of and they are driving me crazy what it in the world is it?? Thanks for any information!!!! Found in a 1900 era mining town in Colorado. 1570020130516723043396592938118.webpIMG_20191002_064723217.webpIMG_20191002_064842684.webpIMG_20191002_065034810.webpIMG_20191002_065114944_MP.webp

The skinny thing with holes is part of what is called a P clamp. The P clamps were used to hang aerial service drops for the telephone company.

Thanks smallfoot, you wouldn't believe how long I've been wondering about those!

The 'button' is WWII era air service collar disk.

The 'match holder' may be a chatelaine or pocket note pad.

Thanks again Matt, I don't know how you do it. It will look nice with a little notepad in an old pen or pencil hanging by it.
