Rain stayed away long enough to hit a nearby abandoned timber town. Been there a few times and went back because im a glutton for punishment. Its big boy detecting all the way. There is something under your coil most of the time. Usually its big iron, roofing, and nails. The buildings must have been left to collapse after the timber was gone. Now its just woods. Anyway I swung along a steep bank beside a roadway and hit a decent signal. A 1916 buffalo pops out of the hole. Swung over it again and found a1912 V nickel and a 1902 IH penny. Also dug a crotal bell later . By far my best finds there. Sorry the one pic is upside down.

That's a good day. Congrats

awesome hunt, gotta love finding finds like those

Very nice coins! Man I wish the nickels came out in that condition here! Congrats! :icon_thumleft:

Nice work! 🙌 That ground is kind to coins.

Way to go! You have some nice stuff there.

Thanks. Its a challenging site. Have to be in the mood to dig alot of undesirable targets. Really seems to be a crapshoot on coin condition around here. Sometimes they are in bad shape, others they are like these. Even from.same site. I think it may depend if they settle on rocks or soil but have no real proof if that is the case.

Nice finds, pays off to dig the iffy signals!:headbang:

Well done sir. I l8ke the old coins.
