has anyone ever hunted the old eagles club property in elgin?

It's owned by the Kane County Forest Preserve District now, metal detecting is prohibited at Kane County sites.
I hunted the creekbed there a couple years ago, just before they sold it. Some coinage and bottles came out, that's all. The Eagle's Club Aeries are part of the national organization and you'd probably want to be a member before asking to hit the grounds at any remaining sites.
This was a very nice site for a hunt though, just never hit it. Also remember it was a shooting center, Sunday mornings it often sounded off with lots of trap shooting.
