Last year bought a Good used Eagle spectrum, worked good, now the last couple of times it almost sounds like a wire loose or something? Not sure if one of the settings got changed, usually just use the pre-set ones... any ideas? :icon_scratch: :icon_scratch: Didn't seem to make this much noise before. Yes, did check the wire, "cable", all seems tight and secure.. Thank you.

If you are using a coil cover, take it off and see if any dirt or sand got in under it. Are you using the rechargeable pack or the regular battery pack? If the rechargeable, it might be going bad. The settings shouldn't change in the presets.

Just a couple of things off the top of my head.

Gibh is right check all these things. The good news is it powers up! After taking off your coil cover and cleaning all that. unhook your cable there are male and female connectors clean them with a tooth brush. sometimes dirt gets in there and can interupt the signals. Make sure your not inside your house or around power lines when checking all this stuff so you can rule all that stuff out. Gibh said check your battery pack. Those recharge packs are notorious for going bad on you thats why I never use them. They can show a full charge then a few minutes later die completely. One time I had a friend who just got off work we went out too detect after about ten minutes he was bitching that it wouldn't pinpoint and he got signals everywhere. I told him steel toe boots can do that. lol problem solved. check your sensativity also. If none of this works find a friend who has a coil that well work on yours and try that. coils do go bad. If it's not that check inside battery box sometimes the connection prongs lose strength and don't touch the battery box connectors like they use too. and if all this fails it may have too go too whites for surgery.
