Is that an anchor the eagle is standing on?

Also a picture of the back always helps with the experts ID'ing, regardless if there's nothing to "see" - the experts see things we do not.

It's either a Navy button or it is a fashion button. Since the back is gone we can't get a backmark, but if it looks to have rusted off, then you can feel sure it is fashion. I can't guess which you have unless you can clean the face a little better.

It appears to be Navy button #114 in the Albert book. From what I have read in previous TN posts, this is more than likely a fashion button, non-military.

To me, it matches Albert's 113 more than 114. The most notable difference is the ring on the anchor extends to the side where the rope border passes through it. My feeling is, it is military. Please post more pictures of both sides.You might also try using a toothbrush and a little plain water to clean it up. Oh yeah, welcome to the forums and good luck with your future hunts. There should be more finds where this one came from.
