MM and I hit the road a little late (my alarm clock didn't go off) at 5:00 am. We hunted a ball field that used to be an old farm with another very cool detecting dude named, Charlie. MM found a spot where there was a lot of broken blue glass and square nails and suggested we concentrate there.
That's where I found the old lock. Then we proceeded to another town and detected the front lawn of an old High School. This strange man with a bright red shirt, stood across the street and glared at us while talking on a cell phone. The town suddenly became like the movie "Village of the Damned" without the children, so we left.

By this time it was like detecting in a blast furnace, but we soldiered on. We hit some assorted other schools (that weren't "Damned") and then with our last gasp of energy, detected a "Gone with the Wind" style plantation house.

Here's the stuff (presented in blazing 800 pixal glory) that didn't get tossed in the "Hefty Cinch Sac-o-Wonderments".

That is a cool looking lock. It looks like you had a pretty good day. Way to go and keep em coming!

Sweet digs! What a cool lock. I can't say as I have ever seen one just like that before. I know I would like to see one in a hole I am digging! ;D

Great job and good luck on your future hunts

very nice finds ridley ! that lock looks pretty old, it would be interesting to know just about how old it was, congrats ;)

Dave,
Your finds look even better cleaned up. It looks like the Pope agrees too. ;)
That cosmetic compact really turned out to be a jewel too.
Your lock is a better find than a wilver Barber, that's for sure. Looks like a rare piece.
Congrats. You really kicked my butt on finds today Dude.

P.S. Your tardiness will be recorder. After three occurrences you will need to turn over all your silver to me. :o

Good job, bud. I would plunder the "Village of the Damned!" It sounds very wilvery-like. 8) :D
That was our plan, but instead of sauntering into "The Village of the Damned", we kind of sashayed our way in. The damned villagers took notice of that right away. Next time I think we should just suddenly appear with glowing eyes and albino wigs.

You know "When in Rome, do it like a Roman dude"...and ye will be rewarded with the wilver. :D
