Hey all -

Went to the old 1600's farm again and founds some cool stuff. My buddy scored a WWI (?) eagle button and I found a very 3D button with maple leaves and grapes or something.

I also scored my first V-nickle, a Fleur-De-Lis clip that says "PAT. JAN 6 1874" and also two braided hair large cents, 1854 and 1845.

Now, I also found this copper disc that's slightly larger than a large cent. Looks like someone carved a heart through it, and the beginnings of three more hearts in a rough circle on one side. Can anyone make out what type of coin this was? British copper maybe or something else?

I know it's toasted, but hey, maybe someone's eyes are better than mine.
Thanks -

Super nice hunt! I get excited if I find one old copper...don't know what I would do with myself if I ever found three in one outing. Congratulations.

Excellent relic hunt! :occasion14:

Those are some really nice digs!!! Nicely done! Congrats and HH

You gotta love diggin that 1600's area....that's a awesome hunt and permission... hope many more great finds for you in that dirt..... Congrats !!!!

Probably a British halfpenny, but with no size or weight & no details who's going to know?

Very nice scores on some great old coppers and relics. It looks like someone began a "Love Token" type coin with that one copper and either lost interest or lost the coin. Wherever you found these wonderful finds I'd be revisiting that spot for more goodies.:headbang:

I believe it is a homemade shamrock good luck token on an old coin. The hole goes through all the way on one leaf so it can be worn on a necklace or as a charm. That looks like a FUN hunt.
