Eagle button at 1850 homesite... Military?

Can anyone help ID this design? Two piece, roughly the size of a nickel. PXL_20201121_133103501.MP~2.jpg

Can you read the backmark? That will help date your U.S. Army "Great Seal" button. I cannot see any traces of a black finish on it so it would date from 1910-1917 or after 1923. Your version has the earlier rounded rim and I have seen where it was dated prior to the late 1920s or the mid 1940s. After that a more angular style rim was used. Hopefully someone here can educate us on when the change did happen
