E-Trac Pitch Hold

Have any of you used the response of PITCH HOLD on the E-Trac and if so why do you like it and what exactly is it telling you?
Also the threshold changes pitch until another item is detected so what exactly is that telling you? I have tried it but after awhile I will go back to Normal or Smooth.

I have tried it but didn't care for it. Since it holds the strongest tone given off by a target it could be helpful in certain situations.

And I agree.
It just feels uncomfortable to me . That tone.
I stay on "Normal"

I have been using the smooth in areas that are not trashy, I can cover more ground and if I just knick a taget I get a good signal to track down, but pinpointing is a pain in the ars.
