DX-1 probe

Recently traded some stuff for a DX-1 probe, (gotta love it). However...When attaching the clips that hold the probe on the detector shaft you lose the ability to collapse the shaft because the clip bolts go through the shaft, (MXT). Anybody have a solution to this problem? Detector won't fit in detector bag unless the shaft is collapsed, plus not much room in my small pickup.

Sunray makes a set of clips that mount on the side of the control box
for the DFX. The MXT control box I think is the same.
This should help solve Your problem.

When I want to move my lower rod I push each button in with a small plastic bolt and then turn the hanger a bit and collapse the rod..........Ken

My FX-1 came with "double jaw" clips that clamp onto the shaft and the probe. The shaft side has velcro tape that is put around the shaft first and inside the jaws of the more permanent shaft side. Maybe they have a set that would fit your shaft if you give them the outside diamater?
