After all the hype and a lot of convincing... I finally decided to purchase the Equinox 800. Don’t get me wrong, I love my AT Gold, but decided it was time to upgrade with the multi-frequency Minelab. My buddy Jimzz977 and Bob-E-Pin transitioned over and have been having a hell of a time with it that I decided it was my turn. I do have say, that the “Beast” went out with a bang and is now semi-retired! It did its job from the first time we were introduced it has found at min a pound of silver comprised of silver coins, rings, military medals and pins. On Gold, it had seen better days with a 🖐 full of gold rings, but what it missed in rings it made up by discovering not one but 2! Gold coins... years apart! The first, a 1913 $5 Indian and recently a 1945 mex dose pesos. On its final day before retiring (semi) the beast sniffed out roundness, a big silver 1921 S Morgan! Good job “Beast”!

Yesterday after receiving the newbie and all the excitement, not to mention the sneaking around trying to ovoid the wife so she would not find out about my new toy, I decided to hit the dump. My buddy Bob-E-Pin joined me and didn’t take long before pulling out a nice target (dog tag). I’m not going to lie, In the beginning it was frustrating, however, after adjusting and my buddy showing me what to look for I started to pull some buttons... so use to the Beasts tones that it was hard learning to newbie. Finally after fidgeting with the newbie, the good stuff started popping out. Had a great time🤙 still learning! Enjoy the pics!

Nice assortment of finds. That army stuff is pretty cool

That is an awesome site you guys have!!

The funny thing, it’s been hunted for years...

Outstanding!!! You did very good with that Nox, I love mine.

Lol, forgot to charge the batteries today... I got the itch, gonna sneak out to the dump in a bit. [emoji23]

Awesome hunt, congratulations! :occasion14:

Beautiful coins .
Really like the old locks ! :icon_thumright:

Now we’re metal detecting. :icon_thumright:

Those are some really respectable finds. Congratulations!

A nice collection of relics

Personally I wouldn't necessarily retire the "Beast" just yet. I just got an 800 as well, I'm still on the " learning curve" with the 800 as well. My best find with it so far is a 1903S Barber half. Hell, some of my best finds ever were with a Tesoro. Gotta love the new technology, but still have to learn the nuances of the different sounds.

Great finds. I love my Nox 800, but I’m not sure I would retire the “Beast” just yet. You had some remarkable finds with that machine. A “dump”? Is that for real. I can’t imagine hunting our local dumps. Old or new. You did well.

I want it all. I like it all. I like finding old locks. Congrats on all the saves.

Thanks guys, n yes it’s an old military dump WWI & WWII

Pssst...Might wanna get a bobcat out there to clean off the top 6" of "pay-dirt" of some certain areas you've been digging in. Might hit the jackpot again my friend.

Congrats on some awesome finds!!! Nice way to save some history.
