Went to BofA to get rid of my halves and my wife decided to go along. After we had deposited our dump, wife wanted to go to the coin shop a couple of stores down. :icon_scratch: Guess I am just a lucky man, I think.....

She was browsing while I was talking with the owner about the annual "FUN" show coming up. My wife calls me over to the counter and said, "Look at that bill from Ann Arbor, MI".

This is what she was talking about....
New_Note.jpg

This note is from the 1830's and to make it even more interesting, we now own the family farm which resides in Washtenaw County in Michigan. Her Parents, Grandparents and Great Grandparents have all lived their entire lives there. It is quite possible that somebody in her family took this bill out as currency and never spent it. This was before the Federal Reserve even existed. The bank where it was purchased at now has a "Key" bank sitting on the same site. We travel past where this bank used to be at least once every year if not every other year when we visit our property in MI.

She got this as our 28th anniversary present.....

Guess I won't take her into anymore coin shops in the near future.... :laughing7:

Being a U of M student and Michigander, that is one cool note!
