Hunted a completly new area that was infested with Zodiak Tokens. Zodiak tokens are well known to the hunters in the S.F. Bay Area. These things are really discusting, they were at one time used in the peep shows in this area. After I dug them all out, 38 of them, I could concentrate on the older coins I was looking for. During the first hour I poped out a 48-S rosie and a wheatie. After that I get a perfect singnal at 4 inches and dig out this big silver coin! I didn't know what it was, I had never seen one of these before? Half the coin was covered in dirt & stains so I didn't want to clean it or rub it in the field. About 20 minutes later I dig another one! This one is identical to the first one, it was only 1 inch deep. Both are about the size of a Morgan U.S. Dollar! Both were found about 30 feet apart, how did someone loose two of these so far apart? To my surprise I look them up in my foreign coin book and discover that they are 72% silver!

That's some good stuff right there man! The silver is nice, and the Zippo is pretty darn cool.

The current melt value of those Mexican coins is $6.49 each! Pretty good haul!

Good hunt. I gotta wonder what those bells are from.

Congrats on all that silver, man you did well! :occasion14:
The markings on those silver bells lead me to think they might be Native American? :icon_scratch:
