hi guys and ladies
this item was dug up in my garden in uk recently then my dog started playing with it and I took a second look and cleaned it up, it seems like cement construction with a steel disk with a hole drilled in the middle of the steel then an offset (off centre) hole through the cement part, it is 1.5 inch wide and an inch high. hope somone has an idea what this is as it's really puzzling me.

thanks in advance

regards

thankyou so much for the replies so far,
it's a really strange object, I'm a plumber, I just cant imagine this having anything to do with a sprinkler as it is made from a cement which would wash away and the hole in the metal part wouldn't let much water through. my father in law suggested maybe part of an oil lamp where the wick came through the disk, I feel like I have seen one before in my childhood or somthing but cant quite put my finger on where or what it it, maybe I'm just weird lol

I found something similar and it turned out to be a heatsink of some sort.

It looks clay to me, maybe the top of an old pipe for watering the garden?

Wow, looks interesting. Maybe it's a piece from your house that fell or maybe it's a piece from your lawnmower. I really don't know what this could be, I see this for the first time. But it certainly is a spare part of something. By the way, you can ask about this little weird thing on a site which I discovered recently. It is about gardening and you can find here growgardener.com a lot of useful things and technical equipment if you need it. I needed a garden tractor and didn't know which one to buy and asked there and many people advise me which garden tractor is better. So I bought an ideal tractor for my property.

in florida we have cement rings that go around sprinkler heads
keeps weeds/grass from head, also a marker to avoided hitting head
mayber a trickling watering head to water said garden
i would root around for underground piping
