Whats it made of? Some sort of decorative cap. Looks like the top on my porch lights.

It's a non-magnetic metal. Unsure of which metal.

The cutout on the underside suggests that it fits onto something else, so I would say possibly a fence post topper (or gate), or possibly the top to a pet urn?

Thanks everyone so far! I like the potential and possible positive id's.

Further, upon more examination, the side pieces that extend downward from this top piece suggest that object could be pulled up from the main object it that is was attached to and then tilted either forward or backwards. I believe you can see this if you look at pics. If not, and anyone is interested, I can upload more photos.

It looks alum., I thank its the top off of an alum birdhouse. Looks like the tips that would fit into a slot on earth side of the b. House, then you could pull up on the top maybe an inch. Tilt it over and pour the bird seed in to fill it up

I don't believe it is aluminum. Although I can understand why the previous poster stated it could be aluminum with the most recent photos that I uploaded--it steers you to think this, based on the images that turned out that I posted. This is a heavier metal. Possibly magnesium. It is showing some green Patina. I haven't tried to clean it. Keep giving me your best guess!

So far, best investigations include it may be an old bird feeder top, or a top to a pet urn, or a top to an outside mounted light or a top to a mounted fence gate.

I’d go with a post/ gate cap, it’s still very cool whatever it is
