Also, the indoor pics are underexposed...could you take some
outside with the stone sitting on the ground or a towel (for

Agreed, glass. Likely something from a fish tank or picked up because it was cool to them and later discarded but it makes a neat piece for a rock garden or small collection.

Is a synthetic gem a true rock? Bricks or concrete? How does one define a rock? *grins* Minor technicalities I'm sure.

Rocks come from stones. Stones come from volcanoes. Volcanoes have enlarged medulla oblongata.
I don't consider glass a rock, but rather a stone.
