Dug this military pin today. I think it may be WW2 era Army. Any help with ID will be appreciated.

Probably a cap pin. What's weird is that is has the cutouts.
 

Interesting to me that it has the 13 star design similar to a button I found a couple weeks ago.

Minor research of the button led me to think it was from an old military fatigue shirt.

US Air Force enlisted mans dress hat insignia. my guess is Vietnam era, but I could be wrong
 

Thanks for the help guys. I dug this at an old farm house that I was born and raised in ( 1967-2002). The house is still in the family. My dad was the only family member in the military. He served in the latter part of WW2. I wonder where it came from?

It was also on the Air Force women's bucket hat & beret. I don't like giving hints of my age (LOL) but mine is from '74...that is 1974 not 1874. :tongue3:

It appears to be the color of tarnished Silver ?
