Dug this interesting Stone

This stone looks like it could be an artifact? Not sure though, but dug it in an area of Savannah where it was rumored that the confederates used dirt from Indian mounds to construct their fort during the American Civil War. Let me know what you think?

Could this rock be a fire starting rock for someone other than Native Americans?
