Hey all, Naturegirl and i were mdn an old homestead site today and dug this 8 3/4" Diameter CONOCO/AMALIE/CONTINENTAL OIL COMPANY porcelain paddle sign up in the front yard. Shows some wear n tear, but was an interesting find! The logo is on both sides and i believe it dates to the mid 1920s - 30s... buckshot

Hey Charmin, This Beep was definitely loud n clear! It was around 6"-8" deep and horizontal in the ground. After digging a couple of horseshoes and some other unidentifiable iron pieces it was a nice surprise find!

That thing is pretty cool man! I wonder if the person that held that sign danced in front of the service station like those guys do in front of pizza shops and loan places.

Hey Leco, That's hilarious! :laughing9: I've seen those guys doing that and they crack me up! I think this signage was probably mounted on a bulk motor/gear oil Lubester at a gas station, auto dealership or mechanic shop from some examples i've found sofar ... buckshot
