The ground thawed enough to do some detecting today which is great because I was going stir crazy.
The small one is probably a cuff button but the larger one has me stumped. Can anyone ID this button?

Please post a picture of the back. Is it 1-piece or 2? I think it may be British but am not sure.

2 piece and thanks! I'm inclined to agree on British because of the crown on the top. One of the word on back is Hannover. Another is '****storf' I believe.

Hannover district, Germqny: Schwagstorf, Guhlstorf, Winstorf, maybe more towns. Perhaps it is a german town commemorative or Volksmarch (hiking) commemorative?

This field produces mostly militaria and coins from the 1850's if that helps.

It's not a British Crown, It's definitely looks like a circa 1850-60s German Livery Button, the Coronet (Crown looking) devise might point towards a family that was a Duke or similar German family with a Royal connection.
These were worn by their Servants who probably brought it over.

Thanks! Based on your suggestion I was able to determine it is a coat of arms livery button. I am now trying to nail down the family.
