today I met up with my buddy Marty and we were heading to hit an old park. The other day I saw an old church with a school on the property I stopped there first and asked the priest if he minded if we hunted behind the church around the school playground, he said he did not mind at all.

it sure was quiet back there, very little signals at all, appears someone has been there before us. Anyhow I get a scratchy half dollar signal but it was only good one direction, all other directions were bad, jumpy and almost impossible to pinpoint. I called Marty over and had him check it, he got the same thing. I said I can bet you this is not a half dollar....lol :tongue3:

well I dug it anyways.......and what do you know out popped a 1942 walker! Also in the hole was a chunk of iron and a fork laying RIGHT beside the half dollar, I think this is why everyone walked right over this signal and passed it up! :hello2:

sure glad I decided to dig! Marty found a 1891 indian that was shot, kinda cool in my opinion but he was wishing it was NOT shot. Oh well.

I got the religious medal (aluminum) and that was the last thing I got there. So off to the park we went. I dug all deep pulltab signals hoping for a gold ring, and I found this braided ring about 6 inches deep, it rings up as a pulltab and sure looks like white gold and yellow gold braided together, no marking on it anywhere so I am unsure? Also got this bottle and the park where they was doing some digging. The cork is inside the bottle. The copper top slides on top. Don't know if it is very old or not?

Pretty good day, had a lot of fun, even without a lot of finds.

Nice finds Terry!
Makes me wonder how many I've walked over and left for someone else.

Way to go on the walker! Are you sure the religious pendant is not silver? I've dug silver religious charms before. 8)

well I see so many videos where people rub silver coins, when it is so easy to carry a bottle with water in it to place them in, if someone rubs a key date silver coin it will kill the value!

I know. :D

Where as if I rub a key date roman, I've lost $15.

I'll bet you had a nice little rush when you pulled that Walker out of the ground, WTG
