Not sure who cow #39 was but I bet it was a pain to take care of. :laughing7:

This is after cleaning it up, was on a rusty chain I threw away

We might think it was rough then but how would you like your number stapled to your ear like now days? That's a nice find. Congrats :icon_thumright:

I had one like that on my ex. lol great find Ive never seen one on here before. moooooo

Those make such a good target sound. I dug one years ago in a plowed field. When I reached into the hole in the loose dirt, I felt it and thought for a split second that I had a belt plate. Nope it was a brass cow tag.

Yep, I thought I might have something like that till I pulled and a chain came out with it. Oh well my wife likes it and stole it already :-P

Between a wife, three daughters, and a sister I have very few good rings left. Seems like it’s guaranteed to fit one of their fingers. “IF” I ever find a big diamond one, I ain’t showing it to none of them! Lol.

Nice find! :icon_thumleft: Believe it or not.... a cow tag is on my bucket list.

No joke, I found one of these with 69 on it. But I wasn't sure if it was a cow tag or an IOU! LOL I'm a class of 69 high school graduate and I've always been tempted to wear it on a chain around my neck, just for a laugh!

We had a cow # 39 years ago. she was over 900 pounds and would walk through 4 strands of barb wire stretched tight enough to go ping if you plucked it. She would stick one front leg through between 2nd and third wire, then stick her head through, stretch the wire and walk her whole body through just to get to that greener grass. Yes, # 39 was a pain in the A**.

Nice find. I found an exact shaped tag a few years back with the # 60 on it.

Really gets your blood pumping when you’re hunting Civil War relics and get over one of these. Sound exactly like a buckle!
