Wow, was it ever a beautiful day for a hunt or what? Brett and I finally checked out a few areas of the park that we've been scoping out. The first area was producing old wheats, a junk ring and a earring, but no silver. I'm sure there's some there, but we were looking for a quicker fix and Brett moved on to the next spot. By the time I caught up with him he had already pulled his first silver for the day. Within a couple minutes he had another. It was time for me to get it in gear! He kept telling me to go put on my bigger coil, 'cause the coins there were too deep for my 6x10DD. Well I was just getting ready to make a coil swap and heard a nice deep dime signal come through. I had the plug opened up to 7" and the target was just starting to sing on the probe. I called Brett over to listen to the probe singing with the headphone unplugged and said "So this coil won't go deep huh?" At 8", this purdy lady pops out. 1885, but no S, Dang! Ended up with 6 wheats, '10, two '20's, '39, '44 and one unreadable, flattened out to make the earring.
Thanks for looking and HH!
