Good job- Can you tell what the stone is?

Stuart
No. I am thinking its glass. Its red in color I haven't looked at in the sunlight My hardness tester is broken. Its a really old setting in sterling. The only marking on it is a 9 and that's the rings size? With 20 plus inches of snow coming tomorrow I not too sure there will be any sun to look at it.

Steve- from the side it looks like a good shot at a garnet- very popular in sterling settings.

Nice call Stuart! I think you might be right on the stone. steve

Nice looking ring. Just getting out would be a treat. Havn't been able to detect for three months due to the snow and frozen ground.
