Dug 2 Civil war camps & ended up with a few what is its.

I am not sure if they are period or not but here they are. The last picture was the rest of my days finds.

One of the items is some sort of grommet. It looks to be the type that had a piece go through it to latch.

looks like maybe mail bag or knap sac latch... possibly luggage
