I'm pretty sure I dug the medal drop from an 1895 UCV Reunion held in Houston Texas.
I can make out 1895 at the top and Houston Texas towards the botom. The middle look like a V with a ribbon making a Large C around the V. Can't really make out all the details.
Whats the best way to clean it?
And if anyone has a picture of this badge please post it.
I searched the Internet a little but couldn't find this particual badge. I did find out there was a reunion in Houston on Memorial weekend 1895. The UCV constitution & Bylaws were adopted at this reunion. I'm posting the badge I dug and the other one I found on the internet.
Did reunions have more than one style badge?
Any help I can get on this badge drop will be much appreciated. I'll post another picture after I clean the relic.

Very nice find.
Even though I love digging civil war relics from the battles, I
would love to dig one of those babies!!

Thanks Guys
I tried to clean the badge some, the ground wasn't to kind to it.
The letters UCV is intertwined in the middle.
It looks like theres some writing on the back but can't make it out yet.
