Then said it has to be fake. 720 is not even a marking for gold. Hands it back to the cashier and leaves. I took a look at it. It's Marked 750.... he had a loop. So I just bought a nice 18 K gold bangle for $250. Even though it's only $30 under spot it should sell for a lot more than spot! Selling this might make for a good week!

Even if I have to hang onto it for a while, I don't mind. 720!!

Be careful. I have heard of several instances where a dealer knows something is not real gold but is marked as such and still sells it as a high price. If he tells you he thinks it is not real or plays dumb and it turns out to be fake he has no obligation to return the money. He can say he never claimed it was 18kt gold. If he thought it was not gold why would he be selling it for $200. That is how some of these dealers in the mall kiosks get away with selling counterfeit marked rings. They never claim they're 14kt gold only gold, then claim gold meant gold colored. Always be leery of anyone who won't sell you a marked item as xx karat gold.
