Alright...had a lot of fun today driving around aimlessly in the middle of nowhere, not caring where I went or how long I was gone. I just turned the GPS on when I was ready to go home at the end of the day.
I didn't find much in the sense of digging...in fact, I didn't spend much time metal detecting, it was mostly driving around, looking for places, and relaxing. Enjoying the end of the semester/start of summer.
The main site I worked for maybe half an hour was the site of an old farmhouse. Lots of prickers and not a lot of area that you could swing your coil through. It was interesting looking around though.

This is a group of finds that I made a couple weekends ago or so. Walked into some woods bordering a field and came across the old coins and the spoon. Tough hunting in that area but there's prolly a few more things in there I would imagine. The little bell thing is silver. I think it's pretty cool.

Thanks Dan. They're some pretty big chunks of equipment to be hauling out lol.

Yea good idea...someone might've hit the place too. Thanks Evan!

Forgot to include pics of some of the first group of finds cleaned up. :tongue3: I was tired last night. Some of the things were from poking around elsewhere nearby.

Looks like a pretty nice spot, good luck.

Great pics. Sometimes the getting lost, wandering and exploring is as much fun as the detecting.

Yea, that was definitely the case. I have all of next week off before I start up working full time again so I'm excited to do this again in the next couple days. :icon_sunny:

Nice finds and pics. Keep poking around and your gonna find something good.

I gotta do more poking around. Been tough with everything else going on. My season is winding down here soon for the next 3 months. Then I will get back on hunting hard for the rest of fall and winter.
