Hello all,

What does the declaration by our unelected Gov signify? They say water use restrictions, is that something that will affect placer mining? I intended to recirc my operation this season anyway. I expect fire restrictions to come early this year. Does this give them the power to shut the woods down all together and limit access? Hopefully all they'll do is tell you not to wash your car or water your lawn. El Ninio was declared last week as well. I thought that brought a wetter Summer? My intentions were to pool up water in creek and hose down surrounding work area a couple times a day. I know that really doesn't help too much but better than nothing. Dust from traffic will be bad in camp but I usually wet down the road now and then with required fire pump. Your thoughts?

It does allow unused water rights to be used by gravel and concrete companies
and in Oregon they are the biggest in the mining industry.

just to pass along this info;
Rich Angstrom of OCAPA http://www.ocapa.net/ and Dave Hunnicutt of OIA http://www.oia.org/
have agreed to lobby in support of the small scale mining industry in Oregon.

fire season will come early this year, they could require a 12:00 noon shut down.
