Driving to Virginia Beach next Tuesday July 2

Make sure u hit va bch ocean front drunk sailors are always losing stuff lol me included lol

I don't remember losing anything there when I was stationed in Norfolk , but that was a long time ago.I will be staying in one of the Hotels on Atlantic south of the old fishing pier

what part of virginia are you from , when I was stationed there in 1975 I found something you might be interested in looking for email me at:

[email protected] or [email protected]

Hope you like coins and antiques:BangHead: I never got the chance to go back and finish what I started 38 years ago maybe some one else can:metaldetector:

I'm from New Hampshire, but I will be spending about a week in Virginia Beach

That's the first place I ever detected and found a sterling silver ankle bracelet with my 1266X. Found lots of clad too. But be careful, they've had some serious crime issues lately and the police seem to be unable to do much about it. Just google it.

There is a guy who has made some huge coil out of PVC pipe and drags it behind his ATV, he hears a signal hops off and uses a handheld detector. Apparently does well enough because he has a condo on the beach. My wife and I were there and I saw this and said Im doing it all wrong. This was during off peak times so I assume they dont allow ATVs during peak season but the guy had the set up.

I bet he's got one heck of a pull tab collection.

ATV eh? Never seen any on the beach except for the cops and lifeguards in Va Beach. Maybe in the off season.....

Good luck hunting down here! You are sure to run into max, bobby, rich, guru and a slew of others here while out hunting. I'm supposed to leave on business on the 2nd but if there is a delay, you will see me as well!

Better bring your rain gear as we're supposed to have a lot of rain around here through at least the middle of next week. Check it out:

Thanks for the info Bill, been raining here a lot lately too. I plan on covering my battery box and electronics with zip lock bags , If the rain gets to be too much, as for me its only water. I plan on hunting south of the fishing pier as it is a quick walk across the street from my hotel. Staying at the days inn on the beach.

If the weather holds one of my friends and I are planning to hit the 9:00 low tide Mon morning. But its not looking good at this point. Good luck to you and hope it stays dry.

Good Luck Salty, The dynamics of the beach here can be a little tricky especially if you hunt in the water because of the tons and tons of sand that has been hauled in. There are lots of beach hunters here. I know of no beach here that ATV's are allowed other than private. And I always try to watch my and other hunters backs and crime is everywhere. The few incidents in the media, at Va Bch, have been sensationalized. I find it safe any time day or night. If you're diligent about your hunting, you should have some luck wet or dry sand. Maybe we'll see ya out there, Happy Hunting!

I should be somewhere in the area of 10th and 11th street when I hunt.
