This looks like it would ride in an implement chain link (see chain type in 2nd picture). For a hay elevator, manure spreader, etc.
The bolt holes are countersunk, which makes sense. This would be paired with another set on the opposite side and a bar would mount across them to move the hay/manure. This would be a problem when this unit goes across the drive and idler sprockets. For that reason I’m unsure. If anyone knows more about it, please LMK. Thanks

Both the tooth and the chain look like those I've seen on the old electric hay elevators my grandparents used to put square bales up in the hayloft.
