drinking the minelab kool aid

Congrats it's extremely easy to use so there really isn't much to learn

Congrats on the purchase...it's very easy to learn...it's all about tones, tones, tones.

I've heard this Kool-aid is very addicitve.

Yea I deff can wait just alil intimidating going from an ace250 to this.

Nothing intimidating about a Safari, it's as turn-on-and-go as you can get. Just remember to do a noise cancel. It's all about picking out the tones, the VDI's are not worth much as it should really have been expanded on it's range but it will give you some more information. Probably the hardest part will be adjusting to the procoil and pinpointing until you get used to it. GL and HH.

Ive been watching a lot of videos on YouTube on them. The snow metaled in my part of Pa, so when I get it I'm gonna bury some coins to practice with so I can learn the tones.

I was gonna go with an at pro, but after watching a guy use one It changed my mind real fast.

I started out on a 150 and the safari is no harder to use than that

Great to hear that I cant wait to get it. I also got the sunray probe with it.

I use both garretts and Sun ray pinpointer Garrett is better at pinpointing but sunray lets you hear what it is because it will make the same noise as it would if you ran your coil over it

I started out with an ace 250, my son uses it now. Dont care to ever hear a bell tone again. :laughing7:

I started with the 250 and went to the safari....For me learning to pinpoint with the coil was the hardest part....I run it on coin or jewelery, mostly coin mode...Trash density on High, Sensitivity on 17, Threshold at 9 or 10 with headphones. And don't forget to hit the noise cancel...everythime you turn off the machine and turn it back on...do a noise cancel...if you change sensitivity or adjust anything..do a noise cancel.....that's what I do..not sure if I need to or not...i read in other threads that it was recommended.

If you have any questions, you know where to find us:laughing7: Good luck...but you won't need it

I know in school learning to use a mine detector they had us doing noise cancel and manual ground balance constantly. Not an issue on my good ol ace 250.

The safari came to day, can't wait to get out with. Thanks again to tom at miller mdz. Great place to deal with deff with purchase from him again!

Good luck man keep us informed

Finally had it out today, b4 a little snow came. Hit my yard where I hit a good many times with my ace250. I pulled almost dallor in clad and a 1944 wheatie. The wheatie really surprised me since I was over that area a lot. Extremely impressed with my safari can't wait to get more time on it to get better with the tones.
