From what I was able to find online, Scheneley Distillery was founded in 1933 if that helps at all.

This is making me thursty. ;D
I don't think this is a drink token. Do you think its part of the whisky bottle? A promotional piece? The vine pattern makes it look valuable as you would find on a coin. I am stumped and curious to what this would have been used for. :icon_scratch:
Thanks for all the research. :notworthy:

Metallurgistically and ballistically speaking :laughing7: the smaller hole was not done by a bullet and was probably produced when nailed up to something. The second larger uniform hole does look to be from a bullet.
Some of you might find this high speed video photography interesting...... metal, glass, and plastic do weird things.

Its probably made for the same purpose as my Ballantine Beer token. ..a promotional item. Mine however was made with a hole in it. I dont think it was part of the whiskey bottle unless its very thin. Maybe it was good for free a shot? http://forum.treasurenet.com/index.php/topic,20941.0.html

I was also thinking nailed and then shot at first but its from the wrong direction.

I don't think Par at Bar has anything to do with 'trade-in' or 'good for' value. I believe 'par' may refer to a 'standard', as in 'par' at golf. So Schenley may be saying it's product is the standard (par) for all whiskies. It's an ad token.
