this morning looked at the spot where two fishing weights came up and within a 2 foot square lay 2 more fishing wieghts for a total of four in two days
also on the walk back to the pigup i see a neat little KRF drill laying right in front of me, so got out the camera, but first, had to do the nature dance to the north, south, east, and west
so looky here, not a lot to look at, but try to post something
I never find those huge beautiful projectile points and blades like you find down south i don't think things like that were made very much up this way

Steve you have got to be one of the luckiest people that I know :icon_thumright:, to be able to go out to your place and nearly trip over some fantastic artifact every few day's :hello: :notworthy: :headbang: :hello2: That is a nice little drill made out of that good KRF material. That is really something finding the fishing weights close to the spot where you found the others. It makes you think they kept their fishing nets in a certain area of the camp and maybe that was where the nets decomposed and left the stone weight's in that spot. Keep it up !!! I am enjoying every minute seeing these very interesting artifact's

Steve, I would gladly trade you a few large points for those weights....you must remember tho that our large points don't always match the workmanship of your smaller and more delicate points.....goat

Larson,
Do you really do a dance? --> "but first, had to do the nature dance to the north, south, east, and west"

Funny thing, and not sure why, but I got a ritual too. Every time I pick up a good point or tool- I always hold it at arms length up to the sky North then east, south, west. Each direction has a statement; North, Thank you God for giving this to me. East, Thank You craftsman for making this. South, Thank you spirit of the arrow. West, thank you hunter for leaving it to me. I will keep it proudly.

Yeah- how cheesey is that... Don't know where it came from- but feel like I have to do something. Even when hunting with other folks- they wonder why and I explain there's just a feeling like I need to thank anyone involved- funny thing is- I see other folks do it too!

I wonder if there is a "real" or "right" thing. Anyway- I'd like to see that dance!

very nice little drill Larson. I like the fishing weights. I haven't found one yet. Do you find them close to a water source?
