Dream Box of Halves

Yeah, I agree. I started two years ago as well and primarily only hunt bags of halves. I have seen my average drop from about 6 silvers per bag in 2009 to about 4 silvers in 2010. HH

Been several years for me. I remember an average total of 4 boxes 6 years or so ago was 80+ 40%, with 100 or more not uncommon.

Well..I would probally faint with a 100 + box of keepers...But i did get a box with 25- 90's and 8- 40's...and never found a single one since...and it was just about 4 months ago..waiting for that next one

I had one about a year back. Sure would like to see another...might have drained the vein up this way.

Still waiting. ;D

Best box was over 25 Bens plus a few Walkers. Nice box, but not any where near the 100+ mark.

I had 4 dream boxes last summer from May to Sept....the best having 136 40%ers.

I didn't do boxes for the longest time. Now it seems boxes are the only way to go. My best box was about 42 keepers.

I've never had that happen in that quantity in one box. I had a string of good boxes in a row where if you added them up, it was over 100 keepers. The best box I ever got was 60 keepers back in 2001. It was all 40%ers and 1 90%er. That box amazed me so much, I still have the original box to store some coins in just for the memories. Of course back then a 40%er was worth $.55 cents.

24 is my best, but I have only been at it for about 3 months. I'm with Diggin - I would probably fall over if I came upon a box with 100+ keepers. The way my boxes were this week, I would be happy with 1 40% in a box - - I had 9 straight skunks this week.

My best box was 67 total. 1 1964 and 66 40%ers. However, I've also done much better with Customer rolls. One time in 2007 I got 6 rolls from a BOA in Maryland on the way back from BWI airport and the teller even told me "they are all real old, you sure you want them"!!! Results: 120 40% halves. Six solid rolls of 40%!

Also got two solid rolls of 1964 Kennedys around the same time. Man, those were the days.....

Still waiting for 100+ in a box.
