Metal Detecting
Went back to the field I found the 2 Reals in last weekend. Found a tombac button right off, but then detected for the next three hours without finding anything else but a few pieces of trash. It was hot, and I was starting to get a little tired, so I decided to zig-zag my way back to my truck and call it a day. On the way back, I finally got a good hit and dug the Draped Bust. I hung around the area for a bit and found a flat button, a couple musket balls, and what I believe to be a suspenders clip. The LC was dry and crusty, so I rubbed a little oil on it when I got home. It's not in very good shape, but I think I can see a date of 1797 on it. Thanks for looking. :icon_thumleft: 003.JPG001.JPG002.JPG

Looks great to me

Congrats on that stellar copper find! Any time a copper comes out of the ground and the first two digits of the date are 1 7 ... you're definitely doing something right.:laughing7: Good job. :notworthy:
