Hey SS,

I remember a Colonial buddy of mine from Pittsburgh who posted that before. I think it may be one. It is brass, so I think it may be late 1700s to early 1800s.

Kyle, WTG on another Half Cent and a great group of relics also, the barrel key is a goodie for sure, and amazing how the items found are all so similar at the sites we hunt.

Don, it is now obvious that this Rev War vet had a keg of ale at his house for him and his drinking buds. :D Yup, Southern NJ isn't much different from Central PA when it comes to Colonial relics found.

SS, thank you for the ID!

Agreed, nice find. Good to be complete :icon_thumright:

You do dig buttons!

I'm very content when I have a day like that because I know I had a chance at something killer.

Something very good on the way for you guys before the end of 2009.

Nice coin, and EXCELLENT complete barrel tap key. :hello2:

Great finds Kyle!!! :headbang: :headbang: Gotta love the half cents. I wish I could dig a few more. These items seem to turn up alot at sites of this age (item circled in red) Your brother seems to have found one as well. I found one on my last hunt also.

Killer halfie Kyle'dude :notworthy:
Have you got a date off it yet ?

That barrel tap key is cool as well  Think about it ... if it weren't for grog and ale your finds would be alot less !
( hammered colonial citizens consuming mass quanties of home-made brews and grog staggering around the Pennsylvania taverns dropping coppas and wilvers and barrel tap keys while wearing overcoats with missing butt-ins ( buttons ) for KKC to dig up 300 years later !!! )
