Azure Bluet Damselfly

There were three different types of dragon/damsels flying around me. This is the only one that settled for a minute.

We have tons and tons of honeybees and butterflies. I don't fertilize or use weed killer at all. We have a lot of clover which the bees and small butterflies love. The rabbits come at night for the clover. When I mow the lawn we don't get them all for a few days.

When I see the dragon flies across the road in the pasture I know some kind of bug just hatched out. Sometimes there are hundreds of them.

A lot fewer bees and butterflies than there used to be. I think spraying the fields with insecticides from airplanes has done it. Milkweed plants are very common around here and still few Monarch butterflies. Gary

If it's killing the bugs it's killing us. Might take a bit longer but look at all the cancers & auto immune diseases people suffer. Much more prevalent than when I was young. Sad.
