Hi TN'ers,

This is somewhat of a mystery piece to me. I dug it from an old farm site in MS. It's the size of a penny, but not as thick. It weighs 2.58 grams, and shows up as a 75 on the AT Pro. When I first pulled it I thought it was a button, but there is no sign of a shank on the back. The dragon is very beautiful.

It looks like copper, but the wheat penny next to it would ring up as an 80. It's slightly bent, and I am tempted to press it flat again, but I'm afraid to damage it. Does anyone recognize this emblem, or can you even tell me what the item is?

Thanks, SNb

looks to be part of a two piece button?

Lapel pin.

You can still see the solder marks from the pin.

I think your right DCMatt. I did notice those solder marks, but didn't recognize them for what they were. I'm going to mark this solved, but I would still love to hear any thoughts on that emblem. I searched Google the whole world over, and can't find anything quite like it. I'm sure it was just probably something decorative, without much significance, but of course I would love to be able to tie it to something specific.

Thanks
