Twenty inches down!!

I find them all the time. Usually just a few inches down, makes the detector show 'over load'. For a while, I just hung them on the nearest tree limb. Now I lug'em home again.

All the iron stuff I've dug have been deep. I have other horseshoes, different sizies, and they were all deep like hell. Question: What made you change your mind about leaving them behind? The only iron stuff I found recently that was basically on the surface was this old RR switch pad lock that I'm still cleaning with electrolysis.
