Down for the count??

Hey all,

I think I lost an old friend I somewhat recently began using my old Compass detector again. Never found much in the 'Unbelievable' catagory but we came up with some interesting assortments of items, coins, keys, whatzits and whodiggys. My old companion has been acting erratically lately and now won't even pick up a full can laying on the ground!!! (and yes, I put in new batteries, checked the connections and it was turned on). At least now I have a good excuse as to why I haven't been finding much--that's my story and I'm sticking to it. We had good times together and I will miss her, but I will get over her. Maybe it's time to take out one of her younger and flashier friends. Who knows I may get lucky. Can't afford much of anything right now but was hoping to squeeze out an Ace 250 having heard such good words on this site. I recently joined a club and they are drawing member names for a new CZ-20 next month. Wish me luck, I'll keep my fingers crossed. Please keep posting all those great finds while I'm sans detector (only had one).

Thanks for the sympathy.

I was sent a message from Marc saying I had the 100,000th post and then sent another saying I wasn't. Seems it was a response to my post. I live in Florida, should I ask for a 'hanging chad' recount Just can't seem to get the luck of the draw this week. I'll keep a hope on that new CZ though. There will definately be NO CLAD for at least a few weeks.

You got no 'splainin to do, Lucy . Just the way it is. I've got no hard feelings. I ordered an Ace 250 and can't wait to get back in the field. Been doing some research in the meantime. I think I've located an area that has had some population since the mid 1600's. Wish me luck. I'll be waiting on the doorstep (not really, I DO have job) for the new machine which should also make a wonderful backup when I can get a nice underwater unit.
